All A’s

This composition was created through traditional methods of cutting and pasting many paper “A’s” found in various sources of printed media. Once completed, it was photocopied on a basic office photocopier. This project has been one of my favorites because of the simplicity of the subject and how the symmetry of the form was utilized to create a dynamic composition.

What do you see when you look at it? Just a bunch of A’s? Does it remind you of anything like snowflakes, gears, the plastic wheels included in a Spirograph kit, or none of the above?
